Creating a Dialogue - the qualres blog

After careful consideration, we decided that our search methods would be inadequate for identifying exemplarly research that uses qualitative methods to answer healthcare-related research questions.   For example using our ranking methods, older articles might be more likely to be on a list of exemplars than articles published in the last several years.

To accomplish the task of identifying exemplarly publications using qualitative research methods, a blog was created to foster dialogue and invite participation from the at-large community of qualitative researchers. 

At the site, visitors are asked to:

• Identify exemplary qualiative research publications

• Give feedback on our site and the information contained therein

The qualres blog is hosted on a public site and advertised by that site.  In addition, we sent a letter to a number of well-known and well-published qualitative researchers in the healthcare field, asking them to visit the blog and provide input into this project.
